when my address is on the postcard

When my friend Daniel asked for my new address, he had a strange tone in his voice. He said, "The nature of this thing that I'm sending to you is that it could arrive next week or it could arrive in, like, eight months." He wanted to make sure that the address would be a consistent address for me. What he didn't say was that this "thing" could arrive next week AND it could arrive in eight months...

Here is one of the first ones I received.

It took me a while to figure out that when the instructions say "write me something," it's talking about me. Daniel won't tell me how many of the postcards he made, but while he was telling me that he wouldn't tell me, he laughed.

I think Daniel's project is maybe a little bit inspired by the project that I did at An Art Affair (below), and maybe a little inspired by a project that one of our housemates did while we were living in Palo Alto. I'm interested to see future projects in this vein, and I'm also looking forward to more "Tales From The Playa"
